Building a new type of EEG

Whatup /sci/, I'm looking at building a new type of EEG which (hopefully) decreases signal noise/impedance by utilizing active electrodes. Most importantly I'm looking to do it cheaply for potential mass production.

Does anyone have recommendations for electrode material? I am mostly familiar with silver chloride dry electrodes + electrolyte gel but I'd like to make the system entirely dry if possible. I'd also like to make the system comfortable (fuck spike electrodes) by making electrodes shaped sort've like a u turned sideways (basically, make the electrodes semi-flexible to emulate a "spring" so the electrode stays flush against the scalp).

Would copper be sufficient for such an electrode? Should I maybe coat an electrode housing in a silver chloride sheet? Looking for recommendations.
