I'm structurally oppressed by the amount of low-empathy autists in teaching positions in math.
I'm nice to autists in my everyday life, but holy fuck are you people unsuited to face-to-face teaching. Some of the fucking worst teachers and most intentionally or unintentionally rude people.
I come to them in good faith, as part of their allocated time where they're being paid to teach and they're rude as fuck to me.
And they're not even the cool type of autist that has a touch of mad genuis and makes something.
It's just people doing largely worthless work while collecting a paycheck for it and being incapable and uninclined to teach.
No offence to the autists who aren't like this.
I just have to put these people out of a job by teaching the material myself at some point.
I'm already working as a math tutor, so that's a start. Have had pretty good success and been able to charge double the normal rate by just doing the opposite of the people who taught me.
About half the people I've learned from have been good though, and they make more positive impact than a bad teacher makes negative impact to a hard-to-demoralise nigga like myself.
I guess I'm learning how to handle it, but please, if anyone is reading this who is going into teaching positions, please don't openly laugh at people for not getting things, or express open hatred in your tone of voice, or adamantly refuse to explain things for minutes at a time and then blame the other person for not getting it, or think it's fine that most of the people in a lecture don't know what you're talking about. Idk how to appeal to spergs, but I feel like I'm stuck inside an RL $chan where people are more passive aggressive because we're all concerned about being kicked out or fired.
