why is green green?

apparently wavelengths of light (red) and short wavelengths of light (blue) but where is the red coming from and where does the blue come from?

im going to kill science after this. trust me. the field will be gone

Your eyes are tuned to pick up light at different wavelengths. Wavelength corresponds to color.

When you mix paint it changes the wavelength of the light absorbed by it. Whem you mix wavelengths it changes the wavelength.

It more or less does. Your perception of color is the result of your brain separately interpreting the disparate wavelengths of light that hit your eye. If your eye could detect more wavelengths of light than the visible spectrum seen by humans, they'd just have their own colors assigned to them by the brain.

Why does sound at a certain wavelength have a distinct tone from sound at another? It's just the way the brain interprets inputs to point out differences.

light is a border phenomenon. when light passes through a gap, between the light and the shade of each side of the gap, colour is made; red/yellow and blue/violet. when the light recombines on the other side of the gap it makes green.. or magenta of the light surrounds an object and meets the other side.

Asking the question " why " consecutively for any answer you are provided with, will always end with the answer " I don't know "... his doesn't destroy science - this is the epitome of science.

Saying you have some other explanation, and applying the " why " experiment on your supposed theory will yield the same result. God cucks always fail when you ask them why has god created everything, they say its outside of our comprehension - but refuse to accept that saying this only proves that god is a cope- and a very weak one at that.

All answers to the question " why" end with a speculative answer at best, usually leaning on intuition, statistics, or pure guesswork. no one knows, but the official theories are our best bet.

infact, think about this: If the world as no colors, and some organism grows within it and starts hallucinating that dangerous stuff are red, even if they aren't, then that organism will reproduce, because he has an extra vector for identifying threats., which would lead to better survivabilitym which would lead to higher chances of replication and passae of those mutations that caused it to assign color to these threats. So you see that colors don't really need to exist in order to be usefull, they could be a completely imaginary construct we produce because it allowed previous generations to pass on these hallucination genes.

You dont really think the universe is as it looks to you, do you? Why does it look like it does to you rather than how it does to a Pigeon which can see UV light? It's not just color by the way. The way you perceive reality is basically a 3d simulation of external reality created by your brain.
