# of N42 magnets to hold a hoop to a board

I have a steel backboard, which I want to be able to temporarily attach a steel hoop to.
The hoop weighs 10 pounds, and looks similar to pic related.
How many 1in x 1in N42 magnets would I need to attach at the base of this hoop so that is sticks effectively to the board? Each magnet has a pull of about 61lbs, as pictured.

pull force won't be super accurate here because the main force will be torque. magnets are a lot weaker in this aspect.
also you need to factor in that when the ball hits it it will add a lot of force

You know it would be a fantastic idea to swap this in at public basketball courts at night, so when anyone goes to dunk the magnets detach.

You'll need between 7 and 9 magnets, 2 at the bottom and 5-7 at the top
depending on the type of metal the hoop is made of, you may need more.

the torque on the upper part of the plate is going to be about 4 times as strong as the torque applied at the farthest point of the hoop
with 100 kgf, on that end, the top part of the plate holding the hoop will experience ~2116 newtons of force away from the coupled surface. On a best case scenario of 61 lbs per magnet, you'll need at least 7 magnets. On a more reasonable assumption of 39 pounds per magnet, you'll need more than 12. Most of which will need to hold up the top part of the plate.
You can probably get a good hold with just 7 magnets (4 on top, 1 on the center, 2 at the bottom) if you're not gonna dunk. Otherwise, about 20 of those magnets will probably work, granted you put them mostly on the top of the plate
