it's about familiarity and exposure. cultures that don't see black people rate them lower. cultures with high black representation in media (US) rate them higher.

Reminder that you are interpreting data based on a population in which sampling bias has been introduced. If you are a non-Asian male looking for an Asian female it's fair to assume you are using a dating site because they are too few locally. Thus increasing your chances to be included in the sample population vs those who are interested in their own race and don't need to use the sites. And if you're looking for said Asian female through dating sites you are by default also going to rank women from other races on average lower.

Actually it does, the same logic from the previous post can be applied to white men. The entire issue boils down to motivation from using dating sites. People need a reason to use external systems from ease of comfort to getting the preferred mate you want.

Women who are interested in specific race of men will put themselves in circumstances that increases their chances of getting one. Women who are interested in specific economic level of men will put themselves in circumstances that increases their chances of getting one too.
