- Avoid all recreational drug use (including caffeine, alcohol, weed, etc. Maybe nicotine, too, despite the fact that it supposedly helps offset some of the negative effects.)
- Get a lot of sleep.
- Avoid hubs of other psychotic people (/pol/ etc.)
- Try to avoid stressful situations.
- Read a lot of information from multiple perspectives. It's easy to get caught into a narrow, "heterodox" world view that will inform all of your other beliefs (e.g. lizard people).
- In moments where you believe you're lucid and not psychotic, try to remind yourself that your paranoid fears are very unlikely to be true. Every time you're paranoid about a certain thing that may happen, and that thing doesn't happen or is disproven, make note of it somewhere so you can realize how many of the fears turn out to be wrong. A common issue with paranoia is that you fear tons of things but mostly only remember the things that are borne out to some extent, while forgetting all the times they don't happen.
