There's crazy new liquid piston compression tech being developed so you can get rid of heat while compressing a gas. There's new refrigeration tech based on magnets(magnetocalorics), stretching stuff(elastocalorics), and applying electricity(electrocalorics). There's also the interesting idea of just cooling the people. The roco robot is one way to do this although clothes that cool you are another. Really Roco shouldn't be possible at all, but works because it dumps heat into an interior thermal reservoir.
