It's cégep, it's the Québec version of college, I'm going to university afterwards, it's just that Québec only goes to grade 11 and I didn't want to move out at 16 while also skipping over stuff that high school didn't cover

It may have been mentioned that matrix-vector multiplication actually corresponds to a certain type of vector to vector function, but there was no detail like in the textbook. I think the course may have been cut short due to coronavirus. The course materials were: vectors (literally redefining vectors, it was so boring), dot product, cross product, lines planes etc. as systems or parametrically, geometry with the aforementioned, matrices, matrix multiplication, determinants, applications to cryptography, and complex numbers. I don't think that my teacher ever uttered the word "linear transformation", and if he did, it was never the subject of a lesson, chapter, unit, whatever.

Cegep is not university, some of the people that took the course with you will go on to study medicine or biology where they will never use mathematics again. Wait until next semester when you enter the uni for real math classes.

No more boring french, english or sport courses, it's way more focused on the subject of your major. It's infinitely more interesting than cegep in my opinion, just choose your major right.

I actually regret not paying more attention to French class in high school cause it's a cool language, but it'll be nice to do just stuff I've chosen. I actually thought there would still be English class in university, glad to hear that there won't be.
