Why the fuck do horses obey us? Or in extension, why do any animals obey us? Humans are cruel, destructive, terrorizing and manipulative.

Why and how can they willingly just play along to whatever we say? There are dogs sniffing mines, for christ sake... Why do they do it..? If they had any sensible thought they'd rebel instantly, considering the morality of humanity, but they don't. Are they slaves? Are they so afraid of retribution that they just play along?

I have a cat of my own. She doesn't give a fuck. She simply plays on my empathy. If her litterbox isn't cleaned, she'll fuck about. If she hasn't got food, she'll be an asshole. I guess she knows that the trouble she makes won't be enough for me to kill her off, and she's right. Her relation to me is strictly beneficial in her own perspective, that make sense, from a natural perspective. Obedient animals though? Nope. Why do they trust humans?
