My theory is that when we lived as tribes, women's feet would indicate the health of their tribe. If a tribe is doing well, then the women would have pristine feet because they would not be called upon to fill in for men's work. Having uninjured, smooth feet would indicate a more leisurely life with little material want. Therefore you definitely would want to slip those women the Roger as your offspring would be born into healthy tribes. So why do men want to suck feet? Well you might as well ask why they want to suck tongues because that's equally as "disgusting" at the microbial level, probably much worse. My theory is that kissing, licking etc happen to homogenise the bacteria of sexual partners which has implications on the development of the immune system of the offspring.
