The product is described as reusable, which made me skeptical. I am wondering if terracotta has a balanced supply of nutrients ready for larger things like potatoes or fruit baring plants.
I also just am undereducated as to how plants grow, but all the complex oils and things going on in flowers and fruits can't just be from the minerals in water, but I might be underestimating what nature is capable of.
If I tried to grow a potato on one of these, lets say, how far you think I'd get before it was used up? or if the water is nutrient rich, could it go a hundred potatos before becoming unusable? would the terracotta become brittle and lower the nutrient value of the produce or do you think it would evenly disintegrate?
