I'm trying to switch careers to become a math teacher. Mostly I've been looking at high school jobs but I applied to some middle schools and have an interview tomorrow.
The problem is I just realized I don't really know what math they learn in 7th grade, everything before high school is kind of a blur to me and I don't really remember learning it. I also took Algebra in 7th grade which most people take it later. So what do 7th graders learn normally? Pre-algebra I guess? What even is "Pre-Algebra"?
Can somebody give me some examples of what 7th grade math consists of, and the real-world applications of it? Thx.
