Antiperspirants and AD

No.11809284 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hello /sci/,

I've been using an antiperspirant for my excessive sweating. Antiperspirants contain aluminum which clog the sweat glands and stops perspiration. Now there is a lot of controversy around this, that aluminum is a neurotoxin and is linked to Alzheimer's disease. I've been looking into some papers around this claim, but I cannot find a clear answer. Some claim that, yes, for sure, and you should cut down on usage of products containing aluminum, and others claim that there isn't any close link between aluminum and AD.

Am I slowly poisoning myself or not?

Can someone help a brainlet out?
