I understand that light speed travel is impossible for anything that is made of matter, however if you were able to travel at light speed time would theoretically stop. Does this mean that if you traveled faster than the speed of light time would reverse?

This is one of those pop sci things that just ends up confusing people. It has some basis in the way the spacetime metric works, but you're better off just forgetting it. It doesn't make sense to talk about reference frames moving at the speed of light with respect to an inertial frame.
