Is it possible to make it if you're not a child prodigy or had an early start? I'm 21 years old doing CS and I don't know a thing about programming.

I'd sure hope so. I'm decent at math, but I barely knew how to multiply 2 years ago. I just got an 91% on my calculus test, but that's not as good as I hoped so I'm doubting the validity of my ambitions

Yes, 21 is fine. It's really only past age 28 or so when you start to lose that youth advantage when learning things like this.

I was and am absolutely terrible at math and started learning programming around 19. It's my career now with lots of open source projects that are probably dependencies in things you all use. I imagine I could probably get better at math if I put the same time and effort into that, but I have no motivation to.

I don't really enjoy chemistry though, I honestly only like doing calculations. It's why I don't have a thing for physics. Also, I have an interest in artificial intelligence.

Being a child prodigy is actually a handicap- the modern genius requires a longer period of mental development.
However, not doing any programming in childhood will definitely make things harder for you, though not impossible.
