Not a science head, but had an idea for you smart anons. Just wondering if it could technically work.

Can we create an AI which could calculate new mathematical and physical formulas? Just think how it would speed up the science progress.

Take notice that the boundries of what AI can do are being broken daily. It can even create music now.
