I was fucking around with my universal pH paper and tested vinegar (pH 3.5) and bleach (pH 9.5). both of these tests had clear color for the reading, but i wanted to mix them (outside duh) i mixed equal parts because I wanted to see if it would make the solution neutral. I added the base to the acid to see the temp reaction. one cup of mixed solution raised in temp by 3 degrees F FYI. but after the reaction settled I tested the solution and my pH paper was bleached white? this did not happen when i tested bleach so why did my paper come out with no color after the reaction. any one know? thanks in advance
