I would go for log(xy)=log(x)+log(y), just because how much more accessible it made a lot of calculations to people using logarithm tables because it converts multiplication to addition. Overall, it probably had the biggest impact on the world because it could be applied pretty much everywhere.

I don't know but I have been amazed by how many things you can intuitively understand just by the concept of entropy (equation 15).

Like 7. Normal distribution, is the (unique) entripy maximizing distribution with support all the reals given a mean and a variance.

Equation 12 is talking about entropy as well.
