Those pay themselves back in like 5 years while nuclear, with it huge capital costs and long construction times, take longer to payback, usually 20 years with current designs/regulations.
Basically, all current nuclear plants make money, but regulations are driving up the costs to run so companies are just shutting them down instead. There is still a future, but there won't be as big as need. I still think you could still get a job since it is hard to find qualified people.
