He just put together things that already were known, namely that the laws of physics are the same in all inertial frames stated by Galileo and Maxwells equations which contain the speed of light in them, which must then be the same in all inertial frames.

Nah if you have a major deformation like that they most likely won't attack you out of "tolerance". Be a skinny somewhat ugly kid and they tear you apart. Also that seems fairly fixable.
