Unfortunately I selected BASIC and transitioned into Visual Basic instead of C, because I didn't know C would win the programming wars and Microsoft Windows 3.11 came with a DOS BASIC IDE
In retrospect that CD was fucking rad even though it was literally a bunch of .txt files, I'd probably have told my younger self to focus on C and then buy a book on MASM
