i live in a small 3rd world country and there are a few forums where all the academics, journalists, professionals, etc. informally discuss politics and stuff, in our native language. it's very high quality and kept pure due to the language barrier and obscurity. i just barely discovered it by accident, and i'm amazed at the quality. every thread lasts for months and years of continuous discussions, everyone posts 100% high effort under their real name and email and the average user is a 40 year old phd holder. sometimes they quote a comment someone made 10 years ago they just casually do it.
i'm unable to post because i'm afraid. i feel the fear of criticism, /lit/, for the first time in years.
all those years of searching for better discussion forums and now when i found one i'm too afraid to post because i realized how retarded i truly am
forget about websites man. it's not worth seeking out quality websites. just educate yourself so you won't be a retard like me
