Have I understood time dilation correctly?
clocks in low gravity and high speed will b e slower than clocks in high gravity and low speed.
the way I think of it is this :a glass marble spins. It does 1 360 degree spin per second. Imagine a metal pole glued to that glass marble (10,000) kilometres long and a clock attached to the arm
the clock at the end of the arm will have travelled tens or hundreds of thousands of kilometers in the time it takes a glas marble to spin 6 inches on its axis. So 1 second is 6 inches in marble time but in end-of-arm time 1 second is hundreds of thousands of kilometers
is that how it works?
