We are alone in the universe

70 years of data brings me to the conclusion that there is no other life capable of artifice in engineering. That is to say, no life capable of the capabilities reached by humans. That is not to say there never will be, and that is not to say there has not been. Neither SETI, nor the search for exoplanets, nor the Fermi Paradox would support the conclusion that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe. Given that us earth creatures, human and non-human, are part of the universe and, likely, the only the only thinking component of the universe. My question is this: is the universe dimwitted and insane. Given that the majority of humans are dimwitted and too insane to make rationality of simple data?

tl;dr we are alone and all the scientific data collected supports that conclusion
