Is med-school more biology centred or chemistry centred?

A question for current doctors, which field of science do you think should have a higher priority in med school?

This is a dumb question. Chemistry and biology are basics to understand, but medicine is more straight memorization and understanding the connections of human physiology, pathogenesis, and treatments. You aren't doing biology the way a PhD does biology in the slightest, and the way you think about it is completely different. Chemistry has no bearing on being a doctor either, that is for the drug companies to work out with their biochemistry departments. If you are asking what to major in, it really doesn't matter, just get a good GPA, sGPA, MCAT, and experiences and you'll be fine.

med schools should prioritize students from a math, physics, chemistry or engineering backgrounds, although I came from a math degree in hindsight I think physics majors will have the best background seeing as they have a good natural science background in addition to the quantitative/logical thinking required from a math degree
med school should also start teaching more detailed statistics, the majority of what is taught in biostatistics is brainlet stat 101 material

right now: enough calculus and probability theory to understand at the very least linear models, GLMs, time series etc.

I have an engineering background and read a ton of popular philosophy and higher level math is definitely harder than philosophy. If you're semi-autistic then philosophy is actually easier because you interpret things literally.
