I'd just like to share this feeling of mine and see if anybody else feels the same.
I've got my master's degree in electrical engineering studying a very frontier-of-knowledge material engineering related subject, but the fact that it was basically numerical simulations really turned me down.
To pursue my PhD, I've changed the subject, the school and the advisor. Now, I'm working with ADAS for electric cars. It's much more practical and exciting but not so much on the frontier of knowledge.
Do you guys think it was a mistake? I'm afraid I won't be able to publish as much as I've published during my master.
