>>11789491Fucking christ Ted is stupid.
>it is impossible to guess how such machines might behave.Wouldn't we have a pretty good chance of predicting their behavior, considering we MADE them. AI isn't going to make itself, it's going to require such advanced understanding of efficient computation and neural networking that we will very effectively be able to predict the behavior of the intelligences we build from the ground up. I'm honestly more worried about genetically modified humans than AI, as we have a much harder time predicting how intelligent organisms will behave, considering how ridiculously complex biology is.
>We only point out that the fate of the human race would be at the mercy of the machines. What unimaginative idiots like Ted never consider is, if humans were so good at making machines that they could make machines to intelligent and versatile as to be able to overthrow them, couldn't humans just make THEMSELVES more powerful? What, are mechanical sciences going to blast into infinity while biological sciences remain absolutely static? The humans that would be living alongside would likely be hardly comparable to modern humans, and would be immensely more capable due to all sorts of wacky biological advances. Of course dumbasses like Ted would probably consider such advanced creatures no longer human and "unnatural", whatever the fuck that means, thus not worthy of existence. Fucking luddites.
