Just ask yourself honestly, are you a caffeine dependant/addict? If the answer is yes, you have a bias, so consider that.
Then ask yourself if you seem to Be experiencing any negative side effects that could be associated with coffee.
If yes, try to cut down to a small amount, and see if you feel better, and then after a while, fully quit and see if you feel better.
If no, you probably tolerate coffee pretty well, and some people drink a lot of coffee and live really long so it isn't a death sentence, but for probably most people it's easy to end up with negative side effects.
I like coffee for it's anti-anxiety effects (in some people it induces anxiety but I have the anxious/autistic mental phenotype and wind the stimulation calming similar to people with ADHD when they take their stimulant meds) but I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping so I'm experimenting with having less coffee and I will try to quit cold turkey on the summer solstice. My tolerance has gotten so high that I barely feel an effect from it.
