>>11783300what you described is kind of what I'm getting at. universities, conferences, etc. do these things because they think it makes them look better. but if you've never been in academia, especially in America/Europe, there is a clear disdain for research by people from different ethnic groups. dismissing research by a group because "they're Russian" or because the PI is black. it's very common but not widely discussed because it's kept in whispers between the groups
also I know you think the affirmative-action programs are really good for nonwhites, but in reality they're basically a lottery system. a ton of nonwhites might apply and one is guaranteed a spot just on the basis of affirmative action. but it is by no means a safety net for this group (as it shouldn't be). the system doesn't favor them nearly as much as it is probably conveyed on 4chan(nel). there's just a lot of virtue-signalling so that the deeper problems don't get acknowledged.
in reality we're 2 generations away from this being solved, but race mixing needs to happen so that people can stop giving so much of a fuck about this
