Wild Metals

A "Native Metal" is any metal that is found pure in its metallic form in nature. I am proposing that we amend this to the more accurately humanistic term "Wild Metal".

Only gold, silver, copper and the platinum metals occur in nature in large amounts. Native metals were prehistoric man's only access to metal, since the process of extracting metals from their ores (smelting) is thought to have been discovered around 6500 BC. However, they could be found only in relatively small amounts.

Happening upon a wild metal was equivalent to discovering a physical scale of the Gods to our ancient ancestors. Imagine living as a primordial human and personally witnessing a physical manifestation of the most rare and otherworldly entities bestowed on upon your universe by the divine. Willd metals were and are inherently miraculous, and should remain revered as such.
