How is math relevant?
When will I use trigonometric functions and formulas in my life? Is anything besides basic functions you can do on your phone completely and utterly useless?

Why do we learn such advanced math when we never use it?

Well it's relevant to those who use it. Mathematics is literally everywhere it's just not transparent as other things. I agree not everyone needs to use mathematics in their daily lives but learning it can give you a different perspective on things.

Pre-Calculus and Calculus is not advanced math. You probably have never seen what real mathematics is. At any rate why do we learn anything? Why do we have sex for pleasure when it's primary purpose is procreation? Mathematicians enjoy doing and creating mathematics. If it has applications to the real world even better.

You're using it right now... Even by formulating a question, setting rules, and then trying to demonstrate something though those rules you are doing math, which is in many ways a form of logic. You learn math in school for two reasons 1. it helps you think rationally and deductively, 2. math is the language of finance, economics, science, politics, medicine, business, engineering, construction, accounting, computing. So unless you want to deliver amazon packages all your life you need at least basic math.

Also, trig is not advanced my friend.

he's repeating ideas promulgated by other people, there is no need to learn logic to be adept at formal mathematics and learning formal logic will likely not aid you if you are quantitatively inept. The connection only flows in one direction, those who are good at math happen to be good at logic, science, business, finance, programming and writing. This is all easily explained if there is a behavioral trait called general intelligence which is innate, largely determined by genetics and not easily altered by environmental influences. Note also many people who see themselves "logical" but do not engage with the world in a logical manner are usually not very bright
