For what it's worth, I've only been told I "act white" and I'm "the whitest black guy they know" by white people, so far i've heard it from about 10 different whites. (This isn't even counting other shit like being congratulated for speaking standard English; I actually got that in a college interview once.)
So my experience is that blacks don't have a monopoly on this mindset that the nigger is retarded; moreover, their opinions matter less than that of non-blacks, since they own relatively few businessness / banks / housings / seats in government.
Self-hatred is fine in rap but not in any other genre. In fact the publishers (historically, mostly Jews and whites) encourage and reward it. Consider a rapper can still say nigger all day, but say faggot once and you're canceled. Consider in country radio they won't play songs they find objectionable -- ever heard a country song bragging about getting rich slinging Fentanyl in the backwoods, or calling women bitches and whores?
We need to be careful when we say things like "their mindset", effectively attributing one mindset to an entire group (many of whom don't have it) while simultaneously ignoring other, larger, more influential groups (many of whom do have it). It leads us to inaccurately assign blame where it might not belong.
