Psychiatry deals with "mental illnesses" (which don't really exist, outside the rare cases where someone's brain has been poisoned with mercury or some other heavy metal for example), and trying to view human thoughts and feelings as sicknesses which can be treated with drugs.
Psychology is the "science" of understanding and analyzing the mental realm (as opposed to the physical world), of understanding human minds and understanding what causes people to want/desire things, and understanding the differences between types of people. The original two tools of psychology was Astrology and the Major Arcana of the Tarot (the first 22 cards), both of which later in modern times became misunderstood and misused and the true purpose of mostly forgotten (today they are used incorrectly and for the wrong purpose). Pic related is a modern attempt at understanding the different types of human minds, but it's an inferior tool to Astrology and the Major Arcana which goes much deeper and are much more accurate (when used correctly; for the purpose of psycho-analysis, not fortune telling bullshit).
For anyone wanting to study the Major Arcana btw, I recommend the Rider Waite deck, it's the best looking one.
