Why is a discrete time signal when converted to frequency domain using DTFT or DFT display as a continuous frequency spectrum?
In comparison:
A diracpuls when transformen gives a constant of 1 in the frequency spektrum.
Schouldnt a discrete time signal then not just be a sum of constants? Why and how do curved swirled spectrums appear? And in addition why is it then periodic?
