Heatsinks in desktop computers are typically made of aluminum. Does heating aluminum chronically cause it to degas something toxic which you're inhaling? We already know that plastics do this and you can smell a hot plastic laptop from one room away and I think it is a safe assumption that you should not inhale anything like that.
