Scientifically speaking, what's the best way to make waterbased lube with household ingredients? Considering lube is (i think) overpriced as fuck I was looking into methods of making my own homemade lube.
My few attempts so far have been semi succesfull, I boiled water with cornstarch. The problem is it's very hard to get a consistent thickness but what compels me to fucking post this is that it loses it's potency WAY too fast.

My current understanding of the subject is something as such: boiling breaks down the glucose-chain and the 'pancakes' of glucose slide over eachother the same way charcoal does. Something like that... I'd like to know how the water part contributes to a good lube. Maybe you trap little pockets of water in a capsule of sugar? So thinking in that way I guessed that when you use the lube the 'capsules' 'pop' and release the water + slices to make it slide.

(even the proper way to make cornstarch lube would be appreciated, how much water to corn? How does one go about boiling it, when is it 'done' boiling, do you stir it in a certain way? etc
