Hey boys I have a 400 feet of black hose and a black backdrop for it. I plan on running my pool water through it. Averages about 85 degrees where I am Right now. How hot will the water get going in at about 65 degrees. How warm will it come out the other side?

I guarantee that the surface area exposed to sunlight is way more important than the ambient temperature of the air. Are there any resources that can roughly estimate the heat energy absorbed from sunlight striking a black surface?

It will vary with how much sunlight it is exposed to and the outside temperature. It will also depend on tube diameter, thickness, the material the tube is made out of, and the flow-rate of the liquid. You may find that simply running water through the tube will give you a faster, more accurate answer than kludging a bunch of approximate values into transport equations will. Probably in the 70-80 degree range would be my guess. Hose isn't really all that great for heat transfer.

I would ask how slowly do you need to pump through the system so that residence time allows heat to go from 65f to 85f.

(temp_out - temp_in)*mass = energy absorbed

Energy absorbed will depend on hose dimensions and material properties.

You know temp_out decreases as flow rate increases.

Fill the hose and leave it in the sun. Take the temperature every hour.

You can use that data to inform flow rate.
