I am planning to major the field statistics because I am not really interested in math at all--data science is my focus.

I have these two books; Algebra and Trigonometry Eight Edition by Ron Larson and Robert P. Hosteller, and 10th Edition Calculus By Ron Larson and Bruce Edwards.

Both more than 900+ pages with answer sheets on the last page.

That is very impossible. I never heard any person on earth finishing a math book in just two weeks.

I live in the Philippines, and the education here is well and free.

For the question, I'd say yes, there are probably a lot of similar computation problems that you would like to skip. There is no value in doing them all.

Parabolas are REALLY important for algebra. I should have added that to my list of things to learn about math: the equations of all the conical sections. This is really important.

Cool. How hard is it to apply to the grad level programs there if I'm just a filthy fresh graduate(btw still a junior)? Planning to do Math, since my CS background gave me a weaker Maths background. So I'm doing Rudin and Artin to increase my mathematical maturity.

is that really important? i get that it's probably good training for the ol neural networks but it's not like programmers need to know positions of electrons in order to write code. surely there's no harm done to your mathematical intuition if you spare yourself some nuisance and just treat the boring calculations as "black box" functions.
