All doctors get paid the same base salary for the same post. You gain no objective benefit at speciality selection, on any self scoring points section there is no mention of university prestige.
Medicine is not like other degrees within the UK where ranking of university matters. Please look into the selection process for the foundation programme and speciality posts. The only benefit is if you don't work in clinical medicine, like the overwhelming majority of medical students, then prestige may count.
If you can get into Oxford or Cambridge for medicine you could get in for economics or law which will lead to a much better paid career. If you achieve anything above the minimum entry for medicine in the UK (3A's) you are to so degree overqualified for the job.
