I have read that individuals of extremely high intelligence are predisposed to original ideas and theories which deviate from what society believes, for example atheism, neuro-sexism, or Neuro-racism are considered taboos in many societies, historically in the 19th century an atheist of high intelligence could become isolated from their society....Isolated by their genius...

although society has changed a lot since the 1800's the biological, genetic and environmental foundations for intelligence remain very wide in their distribution....do the individuals at the top and bottom of the curves, geniuses and idiots remain isolated from their communities.

I have read in certain scientific studies that Highly gifted children become isolated from their communities, in my experience autistics with low IQ are far less isolated than gifted autists, gifted autistics are more isolated than those with low intelligence.
