Is Data Science the pinnacle of STEM?

It seems like the smartest people from all STEM fields are becoming data scientists. The job requires you to code like an engineer, think like a scientist, and communicate like a business executive. The types of problems that data scientists solve are broad and engaging; a data science skillset can solve problems in computational biology, quantitative finance, signal processing, etc. (anything involving data) without having to become an expert in each field.

It's just so powerful. To me, it's the ideal STEM profession.
