If there was a line that went on infinitely in both directions but was broken in half, would each piece be just as long as the original?

Yes but you would have a different topology. Both are still made of a countably infinite segments of a given length glued together though after the cut, clearly you have a definite end.

Don't quote me on this cause i'm not experienced in math and my native lang isn't en, but i don't think there is a point in an infinitely growing line that can be defined as "half" since infinity is immeasurable.

Point A in a line is the "half" if you draw 2 lines. 1 from A to - inf and another from A to + inf.

If you take any point and snap it off making a ray going in both directions and remove one of the rays you have halfed your infinity and it is noticeably and clearly smaller as every point in the ray is contained by the line but the opposite is not true.
