Write things down and compute whilst doing so. Occasionaly get stuck on some detail missed by tunnel vision or one of the shitloads of typos present in every textbook that actually matters. In that case it is important to check erratas. As i started doing recently.

you can be still good in math but be bad in comprehending the chosen notation of mathematics. Geometry is just as valid interpretation of mathematics as the equation bros. even the alchemal symbols of hold contain within them a certain mathematical syntax
