In france there was the case of Adama Traore, who's making headlines these days because of two medical reports were produced over the last two weeks and because protests were held in emulation of our american friends.
Four years ago, this guy was stopped by the police to check his ID card. He ran away, was caught two times and got away twice and was finally arrested one last time. The policemen made him lie down and one sat on his back while they cuffed his wrists. He complained about having difficulties breathing. Then he got up and walked to the police car, they drove to the station. Once there, he pissed himself and is losing consciousness, they make him lie down in the courtyard and call an ambulance. When they arrive he's not breathing, and they fail to reanimate him.
We had seven (7) medical reports in all about this, and two autopsies.
The first four were done as part of the investigations into his death, and concluded that he died because of preexisting conditions and the effort of running away.
His family paid for a fifth one that concluded the conditions were not to blame and the policeman was.
A sixth one was produced on demand of the judges in charge said the same thing as the first reports.
A seventh one also paid by the family said the same thing as the fifth report.
