>>11758567>>11759020OP here. Molecular biology. There are 40 million different jobs that want the degree. Nobody wants me though. I applied to ~20 jobs yesterday and I kept it low at about 10 today but I'll go for more later. I just really want a fucking job. My dad is sick of me and wants me out, refuses to help me with medical bills and tuition anymore. Had like 5 different recruiters call me back and tell me they liked my resume and that I was a strong candidate, good lab experience, etc., corporations and labs just do not fucking want me though.
Everything is oversaturated, I'm starting to think there are no "good" degrees. Science is only for the following groups:
1. Diversity hires who get to do a bunch of cool shit at a young age because underprivileged
2. Super rich elites who can get ludicrous amounts of private training for their kids and pay for them to work in labs
3. 1st gen chinese/koreas whose mommies beat them when they were 7 until they could solve triple integrals.
Of course my opinion will completely change if somebody gives me a fucking job in the next week.
