Everyone gets these thoughts I think. You just push it down and move on. A lot of comedians joke about these sorts of things. Louis CK has a decent bit called "Of course... but maybe" that's sort of like this. Bill Burr has a bit too "What separates me from psychos".

There is some evidence that objects are viewed by the brain as things i can grab, drink, eat etc. Rather than objects in themselves. Perhaps thoughts arise all the time in a similar manner as threads i could grab onto and elaborate on. You just happen to sometimes grab on some weird threads as indeed baby is an object you could throw or baby cart is an object you could push into the lake which is an object something could be put in.

Look up Sudden infant death syndrome it’s basically depressed mothers killing their own babies and either not remembering it or hiding it and people just assume the baby suddenly died for no reason
