I think my uni already tried to do this with some mid tier team in Portugal to identify the leaks of players. The additional stats / modeling were found useful in guiding training / preparations for the coaches. A lot of soccer teams already use a lot of statistics and predictive algorithms to identify their weaker links.

Where's your ownership stake OP don't get fucked over. Yes, salary is important in a start up since it will likely fail, but if it doesn't you want to make sure you have a JUICY stake to cash out of.
