>>11752145Massive is not a quantity, and the disease itself will not magically become 'deadlier'. The question you want to ask is "will we see an increase out infections?" and the answer to that is absolutely yes. Too many people have been ignoring social distancing and trying their hardest to be stubborn ignorant, and foolish. An increase in infections will mean an increase in mortal cases, as COVID-19 has the potential to attack the lungs and make it more vulnerable to opportunistic infections that will damage the system in conjunction with the virus itself.
We will see an increase, but it is unlikely that the country will "open up" after the moronic masses decided to come out in force to show their support for a single insignificant death. Curfews are already in place in numerous states. Local and regional governments will tighten the noose, so to speak, in an attempt to contain public unrest, but also the outbreak itself.
The protests dotting the country are going to spread the infection, without a doubt. But how much compared to other people violating social distancing? It's difficult to say, really. Also consider that the rioting will result in casualties, either from police or from civilians defending themselves from looters. Even now, my governor has stupidly claimed that there is a "link" between aforementioned insignificant death and COVID-19 fatality, which is asinine and untrue, so it isn't impossible for other governments to follow suit with such a claim.

>>11754222Welcome to the new world, anon. Logic and reason are thrown to the wayside in favor of passionate outbursts that mean nothing. The masses are standing on the grave of a single individual as justification for tarnishing the world.
