engineers don't get paid high, most of them get paid in the range of 80k-100k, and that's with 10-15 years of experience.. if you want more you'd have to work in some desolate little island somewhere, where no one lives or have 25+ years of experience in your field.. also work 10+ hours everyday and calls/emails at off hours
dentists- depends on location, again relatively high malpractice, gotta pay employees, pay rent for dental offices and utilities and taxes, what you get in hand is typically 100k for a work day of 10 hours
