Why doesn't my light split? I tried all different angles but all I get is white light. Why doesn't it split? What am I doing wrong?

You cant use LED flashlights because they are only white light, there are no other colors. You have to use light like the sun, because the sun make rainbows. Ever see a rainbow when foraging for items in your attic at night. No. Didn’t think so.

Your light is splitting, you're just failing to detect it.

Dim the lights, put the flashlight closer to prism, shine it onto only one side of the prism, increase the distance between prism and screen. That might help. Also, the image of diffracted light should not appear inline with the flashlight.
